I first want to say thank you to everyone that called and wished me a happy birthday. That was very sweet.

Well lets see this birthday was a very low key birthday. We spent some time with Jeff's family on Friday and Saturday. And on Saturday night my loving husband took me to dinner at one of my favorite places, Chevy's. I eat sooooo much food. Then on my actual birthday we went to my parents house and played cards and went to dinner. I know I'm getting really old when I am playing cards for fun on my birthday. :-) But that is ok... :-) I think I am alright with getting old. It beats the alternative.

Well I really did enjoy my birthday and thank you to everyone that could be apart of it. You all made it that much more special. And those that couldn't well pooie on you.. :-D

Jeff's First Portuguese Festa

This weekend we went to the Portuguese Holy Spirit festival in Oakdale. This was Jeff's first time attending a Portuguese Festa (that is Portuguese for festival). He though it was pretty cool. We were both very surprised at how large the queen’s tiaras were. I have been to many Festa's but I think that this one was the best one yet. I actually learned about the story behind the Holy Spirit festival. As kids we attended these all the time and I actually was in one when I was 5 or 6 years old. But I was never told the story. My Mom was the queen of Mountain View when she was 18 and my dad was her escort so they knew the whole story. My dad also grew up being in the parades because he, my grandfather and my uncle all played musical instruments in the Portuguese marching band. It was really exciting to hear my mom & dad talk about the times they marched in the parades and played in the band. This festa was a great learning experience to both Jeff and I. I am very glad we went. :-)

Our First Anniversary Party

The first year of marriage has been the best. We have learned so much about each other. Jeff is the love of my live and I am so excited to share the rest of my life with him. I am looking forward to sharing many more years together.

These are a few pictures of us and some family celebrating our 1 year anniversary. We were not able to invite everyone do to the fact that our house is so small. Hopefully soon we will have a bigger house and we will be able so have you all over.

June Tubbing Trip @ Lake Tullock

Here are a few pictures of us with the Goulart's and some family friends. We had some crazy fun with Jeff's new 96" tub. That thing is huge and was a blast. They even got me on there once and Tony tried it with Colin also. We had sooooo much fun, can't wait until the next trip. Some time in August when Nickie, Tony and the kids get back for Portugal. Can’t wait!!!

Tubing Memorial Day Weekend @ Lake Tullock

This is us tubing with Tony, Nickie, Colin, Kaitlyn, Mel & Cokes at Lake Tullock on Memorial Day weekend. Yes this is the weekend that is rained for 2 days straight. We got a little time on the lake on Saturday but it was sooooooo cold. But thankfully we had a nice day on Monday. So we were able to be on the lake all day Monday. We had so much fun this weekend.
